Soul work:
where the body teaches the soul.
One-on-one spiritual accompaniment
I work with people who can’t quite leave the sacred behind,
who know in their bones that the God they were taught is too small, too cruel, too obsessed with control to be the whole truth.
This isn’t therapy. I’m not a licensed therapist. This isn’t traditional spiritual direction either—I won’t be neutral about the violence of purity culture, or silent about how the church has weaponized whiteness. I am bound only to what is sacred and wild and true, not to the institutions that tried to domesticate it. I answer to my soul.
And this is a held space for yours to finally tell the truth.
I hold the container. You bring what needs to come up: the questions you’re not allowed to ask, the anger you’ve been performing gratitude over, the congested or mutated grief, the restless paralysis. We follow what your body and your dreams are trying to tell you.
We follow what emerges.
I am trained in theology (MDiv. from Harvard) but my superpower is seeing what has been abandoned and joining you in the descent to explore and understand your landscape of isolation. I’m not interested in pushing you towards a religious belief, or helping you “save your faith.” I am here as your fiercely feminist witness, to reflect back what I’m hearing beneath what you are saying, and sort through what’s actually yours and what you were taught to carry. I am here to help you remember who you were before shame wrote itself into your body, and expand your capacity to wrestle, resist, grieve, experience ecstasy, and live deeply with this one dangerous and magnificent life.
Sometimes we talk about theology.
Sometimes we talk about your mother and who you are when you’re not trying to be good.
Sometimes we talk about the recurring pig in your dreams and Charlotte’s Web.
Sometimes we sit with a poem, a frustrating verse, your birth chart, and a tarot card.
I stand by you in the silence where your certainty used to be.

“When we sat down, Clarke reached to his left, placed his hand on a large rock lying on a table, and said, “This is my clock. I operate at geological speed. And if you are going to work with the soul, you need to learn this rhythm, because this is how the soul moves.” Then he pointed to a small clock also sitting there and added, “It hates this.”
